100 Million Won in Fines for Illegal Waste Dumping
The Ministry of Environment(MOE) announced a new law which reinforces penalties against illegal dumping on September 6. According to the law, the fines against illegal dumping increased from not more than 20 million won to not more than 100 million won.Additionally, companies should be able to prove they have completely disposed of their wastes. Companies should show detailed evidence related to waste dump flow and the kinds, quantity, and type of wastes.
