Korea"s Construction Companies Pioneer US and Japanese Market

Korea's construction companies are attempt to pioneer new markets in the US, Japan and Taiwan due to the slump facing traditional construction markets in China and Southeast Asian countries. According to the construction industry on September 9, Lotte Construction Co has received construction orders equivalent to 53.26 million dollars from early this year to the end of August, a 233% increase compared to last year.
Spurred by this, Samsung and Daewoo construction companies are making every effort to enter the Japanese construction market. In Taiwan, Korean construction companies have received construction orders equivalent to 195 million dollars, as much eight times as last year's. In the US, orders received by Korean construction companies have reached 35 million dollars including one received by Sambu Construction Co.
