OB Started Active Sales

The Oriental Brewery, which has started a joint venture with a Belgium partner, has started aggressive sales tactics under the leadership of its new president.
According to the beer industry on September 14 OB invited Belgium's Inter-Brew, the world's 4th biggest brewery company to be their 50-50 partner and appointed Inter-Brew's Tony Desmet new president to cope with the recent recession.
President Desmet arrived in Seoul this week and began working immediately. Inter-Brew will be taking part in marketing and production, while OB will handle management and trade. With the new foreign president, OB will induce some external funding to be used to fight rival Hite Beer.
Moreover, the company will introduce a new beer as soon as the economic recession is over, and will concentrate on exporting to Southeast Asian countries.
On other fronts, Doosan, OB's parent company, has recently developed a new 200 ml 'one cup green soju' (traditional Korean liquor) which is drinkable in one sip.
Doosan will export 100,000 boxes of this new product to Japan and it will distribute to 14,000 stores and restaurants in Japan.
The company also has a plan to export this item to the United States in November.
