Iridium Phone Charge Fixed

The Iridium satellite phone, which is a subsidiary of SK Telecom and will launch its service in November has finally fixed its service charge.
The Ministry of Information and Communications on September 14 announced that the initial fee will be 110 dollars, monthly basic fee 55 dollars, domestic call 1.48 dollars per minute, and international call 4.54 dollars per minute.
A source from SK said, 'Different from a cellular phone, the satellite telephone is much cheaper and guarantees clear sound all over the world.'
In addition, a satellite pager which can cover the entire world will be sold for 800 dollars.
Iridium wants to sell more than 25,000 phones all around the world in November, and 100,000 by the end of this year.
