Korean Companies" Restructuring Requires Two Years at Most

Jeffrey Jones, acting chairman of American Chamber of Commerce(AMCHAM), estimates that the Korean companies' restructuring process will take two years at the latest.
He predicted in an interview with 'AMCHAM Journal', that Korea's restructuring will continue afterwards.
Chairman Jones also said, 'One of the most important restructuring measures the Korean government has taken since the IMF bail-out was to allow foreigners to acquire Korean real estate. This measure was a symbolic one.'
Meanwhile, he commented on the auto and drug industries in which the Korean and the US governments are seriously debating, 'AMCHAM is considering a measure to mitigate the frictions between the two countries.'
