Money from Japanese Construction Companies Expected

Korean construction companies are expecting that Japanese construction firms will participate in various construction projects in Korea.
The Korea Construction Association and the Japanese Construction Association agreed on September 17 that they will set up various consortiums between the two countries' construction firms to participate in social overhead capital constructions including roads and ports and property developments such as residences and resorts.
The two associations agreed to enlarge development sectors by the Japanese from the past bidding and construction sectors to total development by way of buying properties directly.
An official at the Korea Construction Association said on September 17, 'The Japanese will provide the money and the Koreans the material and manpower in general.'
