Hyundai Exports 2,000 Buses
Hyundai Motor Co. announced on September 20 that it received an order for 2,000 buses from Saudi Arabia. Hyundai has already shipped 900 buses to the country so far and plans to export the rest by the end of this year. The number is the most ever in Korean bus export history.Hyundai competed with big motor companies including German Benz and Swedish Volvo and won the order at an international bidding in Saudi Arabia. Hyundai, basically, modeled these buses on the 'Aerocity 540' used as a Korean city bus and installed options including large size air conditioners and water tanks for potable water.
