1st Korean-Produced High-speed Train Testing Begins

Korean High-speed Railroad Construction (KHRU) and Hyundai Precision Mechanics completed its initial manufacturing of high-speed trains and will start dynamic testing. The testing will assess the trains abilities, including automatic steady operation, automatic controls, brake and safety system.
KHRU and Hyundai revealed to the public the test procedure and had a trial run ceremony on September 25. Among 46 train series, the French Alstom will make 12 and Korean companies including Hyundai will manufacture 34.
Hyundai will convey trains to KHRU after they finish testing. KHRU plans to train manpower during test operations after they receive the trains. KHRU and Alstom agreed to postpone conveying the trains being manufactured in France without any additional cost.
