President Kim Will Hold Economic Press Conference

President Kim Dae Jung will hold a press conference on the current economic situation on September 28 at the Blue House(Chong Wa Dae).
The president is expected to present his ideas on ways of solving the economic crisis and will answer reporters' questions. President Kim has already expressed that he will continue rapid finacial reform until the end of this month together with finishing restructuring of chaebols by this year.
He will be appealing to the general public to refrain from a too thrifty life, which is not helpful to an economic recovery. Moreover the government's promise of countermeasures for unemployment and the supporting funds for medium size business groups will be announced in the press conference .
Kim has firmly outlined the four major areas that need reform: finance, enterprise, labor and management, and public services. Therefore he appears to be advocating that the country spend its way out of the recession.
This press conference will solely concern itself with economic measures and not the ongoing political crisis besetting the country.
