Stock Market is Bullish as Interest Rates Fall

The stock market is bullish as interest rates continue to fall.
In the Korean financial market on October 10, the composite stock price index rose by 10.47 points from the previous day, closing at 338.43 points.
The recent rising trend of stocks can be attributed to various complex factors, such as the rise of the Japanese yen, the continuous downward trend of interest rates and the possibility of an end in sight of financial and companies' restructuring which Korea is now striving to complete since the IMF bail-out late last year.
The price index rose by 12.45 points starting in the morning session but retreated a little bit as some investors sold their retained stocks.
For the day, the real yield for three year due debentures was flat, the same 10.3% as the previous day, which is still at an all time low. Recently, as the overall level of interest rates continues to fall, major banks are rushing to lower their loan rates.
The foreign exchange market is not open on Saturday.
