Pitch IBCA Positively Evaluates Korea"s Restructuring
Pitch IBCA, a United Kingdom credit rating agency, made a positive assessment on Korea's current restructuring.According to the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE), Pitch IBCA stated in a meeting with Chung In Yong, a Korean special ambassador for international finance, and officials from the MOFE on October 12, that it was evaluating Korea's restructuring in the 'affirmative'.
It also announced that it would send an economic delegation to Korea during November.
Another respected credit rating agency, Moody's, announced earlier that it would send a research team to assess Korea's credit rating during November.
In a recent report on Korea, the New York-based Moody's said that the credit quality outlook for the Korean banking system is still negative.
