Samsung Develops Alpha Chip
Samsung Electronics on October 22 announced that they developed a 1GHz level CPU alpha chip which can process 1 billion bytes per second.At present the fastest CPU system for personal computer is the Intel 400MHz, but Samsung's is 2.5 times faster.
Samsung will join with Compaq for this new product and begin production in late 1999.
