Pres. Kim Dae Jung to Meet Lee Hoi Chang

President Kim Dae Jung will meet Lee Hoi Chang, the leader of the opposition Grand National Party (GNP) on November 9. Kim and Lee will agree on 'productive politics' for economic recover. This is the first one-to-one meeting since Lee was elected leader of the GNP. The president will also meet Park Tae Jun, the leader of the United Liberal Democrats (ULD).
The President and Mr.Lee will agree to form 'joint meetings with the ruling and the opposition parties to overcome economic crisis' that Lee proposed along with the GNP's participation in 'the second national foundation movement' that the administration is undertaking.
Han Hwa Gap, the Majority Leader and Park Hie Tae, the Minority Leader discussed the agendas of this meeting. The ruling National Congress for New Politics (NCNP) proposed six areas to be discussed including laws for communications privacy. The GNP required the NCNP to admit that the GNP is the only partner of national politics.
