10 Biggest Chaebol Chairmen"s Shares Increased Sharply

The number of shares which the 10 biggest chaebol owners personally hold in their respective companies increased a great deal this year.
According to the Korea Stock Exchange (KSE) on November 13, the 10 biggest chaebol owners increased the number of their retained shares by 31% from 90.32 million early this year to 118.61 million as of November 12.
Their holdings increased by 78.9 billion won from 765.6 billion won to 844.6 billion won.
A source at the KSE said, ' They increased their shares to protect their management authority and control, as the companies issued additional shares to improve their financial state.'
