1st Korean Panel Member in WTO Dispute Mediation
Dr. Jang Seung Hwa of Seoul National University was commissioned to be a panel member of the World Trade Organization that mediates trade disputes. Jang gained his doctoral degree at Harvard University and has worked as an expert on anti-dumping and fair trade.Jang will play an active part as a member of three panels which mediate tax disputes between the U.S. and the EU.
Switzerland has the most members on WTO panels while Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, India, Philippines, and Japan are also represented on panels.
