Clinton Visits Seoul for 3rd Time

U.S. President Bill Clinton landed in Seoul, Korea on November 20 at Seoul Airport to begin his third visit to Korea since becoming president.
During his 4 day 60 hour schedule, Clinton is accompanied by 400 followers including a variety of businessmen.
He arrived in Seoul at 8:15 pm and was received by Prime Minister Kim Jong Pil, Lee Hong Koo, U.S. ambassador to America, Minister Hong Soon Young of the ministry of foreign affairs and trade, and Stephen Bosworth, U.S. ambassador to Korea.
Clinton warmly shook hands with all as he passed along the proverbial red carpet and spent 15 minutes at a welcoming ceremony before heading to the Hyatt Hotel. He will meet with Korean president, Kim Dae Jung on the 21st at the Blue House(Chong Wa Dae).
His wife and first lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, is now visiting Latin America to lend support to victims of Typhoon Mitch, and was unable to accompany her husband.
President Kim will host a huge reception for Mr. Clinton on the 21st with 165 people in attendance such as Park Chan Ho, ace pitcher of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Barcelona Olympics judo gold medalist Kim Mi Jung, model Lee So Ra, singer Um Jung Hwa, and former Miss Korea Han Sung Ju as well as 30 U.S. citizens residing in Seoul.
In his summit meeting, Clinton is expected to focus on diffusing North Korean nuclear tension.
