Samsung"s HDTV Released in America
Samsung Electronics commenced selling its own brand of high-definition television sets for the first time in the United States.Samsung America based out of San Diego, California introduced the 55 inch HD TV(model HCH 551W) to consumers on November 21.
Lee Myong Woo, vice president of Samsung America said, 'We will unanimously be the #1 electronics group in the States through our new digital technology very soon.'
The U.S. will convert its current analog system to digital signals by 2006, which have a lot more clearer picture and resolution. The three major networks ABC, NBC, and CBS will start broadcasting the new digital signal next year.
