Gov"t to Repay $3.75 Billion to IMF

The government intends to repay 3.75 billion dollars to the IMF (International Monetary Fund) during December and January.
In return, the government plans to get more favorable conditions such as more freedom concerning monetary policies.
The finance minister, Lee Kyu Sung, outlined the government's intention in a press conference after briefing President Kim on November 26.
When asked to comment on the current rumor that an unidentified big company was suffering from a serious cash flow problem of crisis proportions, he said, 'There is no company like that as far as results of the vigorous investigations the government conducted determined.'
