Samsung to Hire 1,000 Interns

Samsung will employ 1,000 college graduates to work as interns.
During the one year training period, these recruits will receive the equivalent of 560 dollars every month.
Samsung announced on November 27 that it decided to recruit competent talented graduates although there is little need to recruit new members due to the economic recession. The company, however, feels they should prepare for the post 2000 era when the economy improves.
The recruiting process, including a written test and interview, will start next month and the final announcement for the successful applicants is January 1999.
The number of major business groups' entry level employees since last June reached only 1,000 people.
