Current Trade Surplus in October- 2.75 Billion Dollars

According to the Bank of Korea (BOK) on November 29, the current trade surplus for the month of October tentatively recorded 2.75 billion dollars, 890 million dollars less than the 3.64 billion dollars of September.
Many economic indicators such as production and inventory in October appeared to have improved following September.
The National Statistical Office (NSO) announced a report on industrial production trends on November 29.
According to the report, industrial production in October decreased by 8% year to year.
The figure in September increased by 0.1% year to year.
But substantially, industrial production in September decreased by 6% due to seasonal factors, whereas in October it decreased by approximately 4%, the NSO explained.
Inventory during October decreased by the largest percent (13.7%) this year.
This is interpreted to be a good news that production should increase afterwards.
