Hanbo"s Liquidation Will be Completed Soon
The fate of defunct Hanbo Group will be concluded at the end of this year, a source from the government said on December 2.Leading massive restructuring and downsizing recently, government made it firm that neglecting the Hanbo problem will hurt Korea's reforming image.
Park Tae Young, the minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy commented, 'First of all, we will try to sell Dangjin Steel factory's A and B venues and if that does not go well, we will sell only the A sector.'
He added, 'The government will definitely finish the Hanbo issue this year no matter what happens.'
Korea First Bank announced, 'A survey on Hanbo land will be started this month and the bidding will commence within a week after the survey.'
