NA to Investigate Kim Hun Murder Allegation
The decision for the National Assembly to conduct its own investigation into the death of First Lieutenant Kim Hun is expected to be ratified. The ruling coalition plans to agree with the opposition Grand National Party's (GNP) December 11 proposal that would have the National Assembly investigate the controversial case.However, the coalition decided not to accept the GNP's demands for Defence Minister Chun Yong Taek's dismisal from office.
An Taek Soo, the GNP's spokesman, said, 'We will agree to the National Assembly investigation if the ruling coalition accepts.'
In other news, the ruling coalition also decided that it will lower the retirement age for teachers to 60.
