Management Wins "Transfer Dispute" Over Labor
The transferring of companies, either in part or in whole, is being disputed by labor unions. The labor union of Kookmin Mutual Credit Association sued the company's management. The union argued that management violated the collective agreement. The agreement states that management should discuss any transferring of the company with labor union members.Seoul district court ruled in management's favor on December 11. The court said, 'It is difficult to say that by the transferring of shares to others a change in union member's working conditions will occur. Any concerns over changes in working conditions should be discussed after the shares are transferred with management.'
