CID Investigates Lawmaker Kim Yoon Hwan

The Central Investigation Department (CID) of the prosecutors office investigated an opposition GNP (Grand National Party) lawmaker, Kim Yoon Hwan, on December 15.
Kim is one of the leading politicians of the opposition GNP.
He is suspected of receiving 3 billion won in donations to aid in his re-election from Kim Chan Doo, chairman of Doowon group, before the 1996 general election.
Representative Kim denied the allegation, saying that it is true he received the money, but all the money was just a political donation without any conditions attached.
The CID will question Kim once more within the month and request an arrest warrant under agreement from the National Assembly.
