Kim Yun Hwan to Be Arrested

The Central Investigation Department (CID) of the National Prosecution Administration announced on December 16 that it will summon Rep. Kim Yun Hwan of the opposition Grand National Party (GNP) again on the morning of December 17.
A source at the CID said, 'Rep. Kim conceded to receiving money but argued that he did not give any compensation for that. We plan to request an arrest warrant at the beginning of next week because we uncovered evidence that favors were bought regardless of his denial.'
Kim is suspected of receiving three billion won from Kim Chan Du, the chairman of Duwon Group in February 1996 and another 300 million won in March 1992 from a construction company.
Kim attended the prosecutor's office on December 15 and returned home the following morning after 15 hours of questioning.
