Sixty-five Percent Would Accept Cremation

About 65 percent of the populace said they would accept cremation rather than opt for burial.
According to the Korea Health Society Research Institute on December 22, 65 percent out of 1010 adult telephone respondents agreed that they 'Will accept cremation in order to solve the problem of insufficient land.'
Approximately 13 percent answered they 'Have not considered the issue or knew much about it.'
Cremation supporters increased by about 15 percent from a similar survey conducted four years aga.
People opposed to cremation cited the following: burial is traditional(34 percent); with cremation one seems to die twice(22 percent); they have their own burial plot already(17 percent).
