Chong Wa Dae Catches a Cold

A tiny bug can bring down even the most powerful of men. The Blue House, Chong Wa Dae, is no exception as scores of people at the government building and official residence of President Kim Dae Jung are suffering from the flu.
President Kim, himself, is under-the-weather and had to receive a weekly report from Prime Minister Kim Jong Pil in writing due to a serious cough and fever on December 21. He also did not participate in the government deliberation and evaluation conference on December 22. He canceled his entire schedule for December 23.
He caught a cold just after returning from Vietnam where the weather was colder than anticipated. Lim Dong Won, chief secretary on diplomatic and security affairs also came down with a cold as well as the president's coordinator.
Lee Hie Ho, the First Lady just recovered from a bad cold. The staff at Chong Wa Dae are calling the outbreak the 'Vietnam Cold'.
