Choi Jin Sil Nearly Kidnapped
Choi Jin Sil, photo, a popular TV star, came close to being kidnapped. Choi came across a man, described as being in his 40s, in her apartment building's elevator when she returned home from shooting a film at 2:30 a.m. on December 30.The man boarded the elevator and immediately threatened Choi with a knife by saying, 'If you shout, I will kill you. Just follow me.' He pulled Choi off the elevator onto the fourth floor and proceeded down the stairwell. At the third floor Choi's manager, who had been parking his car, confronted the man and a brief struggle ensued. The attacker fled.
The police consider the man a stalker,possibly mentally unbalanced and dangerous.
