Overseas Trips for New Year"s Holiday Increases Sharply
People heading overseas for the New Year's holiday increased sharply.According to the airline industry, on December 31 the number of those who started on overseas trips recorded 15,400 people, a 30 percent increase over that of last year.
Those who were bound for Cheju Island amounted to more than 7,200 persons, roughly a 30 percent increase over last year.
The passenger ratio for planes bound for major tour sites like Bangkok, Hong Kong, Saipan, Guam, Sydney and Los Angeles recorded 95 to 99 percent, the highest level for the year.
