Agreement Will Allow Investigation Abroad for Lawsuits

In an international civil lawsuit, participants can deliver documents to the court and investigate evidence found in foreign countries.
The Supreme Court revealed on January 2 that it will sign on to the 'Hague Delivery Agreement and Evidence Investigation Agreement' at the beginning of this year to vitalize cooperation in civil lawsuits .
The agreement bill will be brought to the State Council and the National Assembly and will be delivered to the Netherlands.
So, documents related to a civil lawsuit can be delivered not through the usual diplomatic channels but between both countries' court system.
An investigation that involves evidence or witnesses in another country will now be possible in the presence of the other country's courts.
A source at the Supreme Court said, 'The number of international civil lawsuits has increased dramatically. The agreement will remove many barriers such as the disadvantage of not being allowed to investigate evidence in another country.'
