Road Show by FKI Launched

The first business and government 'road show' is set to get underway in an effort to capitalize on the expected raising of Korea's credit rating by Moody's and attract foreign investment.
The Federation of Korea Industries(FKI) on January 11 announced that it will hold a series of meetings from January 25 in England, France, Japan, the United States, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The main representative of the road show will be Sohn Byong Doo, vice chairman of FKI, who will be acting in conjunction with a delegation from the host nation in several explanatory sessions.
The Korean delegation is going to outline and highlite the current restructuring efforts by the five chaebol groups with the aim of inducing foreign investment.
Moreover, it will campaign to have its sovereign credibility raised in light of the improved economic circumstances.
A source from the FKI said, 'Last year the introduction of foreign capital was basically based upon short-term money, this year we will be seeking long-term industrial investment.'
The first stop will be on January 25 in London.
