Civilian Ombudsman to Monitor All Government Agencies

The Second Nation Foundation Committee(SNFC) announced on January 18 that it will propose that the government forms a 'civilian committee', which will monitor government policies, in all government sectors.
It also advised the government to integrate or privatize special local administration agencies including the local Military Manpower Administration and Supply Administration.
Dr. Sung Kung Rung of Halim University said, 'We should change the current 'technocrat-oriented government' to a 'civilian-engaged government'.
He proposed a 'National Personnel Committee' in cooperation with the ruling and opposition parties that would strive to eradicate discrimination based on specific regions.
The SNFC plans to begin a campaign to reduce the number of high-ranking officials.
