Special Tax Investigation of 500 Businesses
The Tax Administration Agency(TAA) threw down the gauntlet at dishonest taxpayers.It asserted on January 26 that there will be more precise investigations of 500 suspected business groups.In addition to that, 1,616 company owners whose private assets manage to keep increasing while their companies suffer losses and more liabilities will also be scutinized.
The TAA will start its probe in March and business groups must present tax-related receipts for the last three years.
TAA's director, Park Nae Hoon, commented, 'Although we have introduced a self-report system, our monitoring, subsequently, rather strengthened. Our advanced computer system might be helpful to the investigation.'
