Foreign Fund Managers in Korea
Many foreign fund managers are playing a conspicuous part in the Korean financial market. Adeline Koh is the manager of the 100 billion won LG-Lloyd fund. She previously worked for the Hong Kong branch of Lloyd George, based in Britain. The unique feature of foreign fund managers is stability and long-term investment strategy as opposed to being influenced by short-term market fluctuations. Fund managers wield enormous influence in stock markets because they control vast amounts of money.
Platinum Fund, worth 100 billion won, entrusted the fund's operations to Harry Sagmen, president of the U.S.-based IIA. He has worked in this field for more than 30 years. His profit rate for the past five years reached 238 percent.
James Loony, the president of the Ssangyong Templeton Trust Investment, has started a new fund, named the 'OMJ Fund'.
