Cold Weather Will Close "Door of Spring"
Very cold weather is expected on February 3 or in the 24 seasonal divisions of the Korean calendar, the day of 'Ipchun' (door of spring). The temperature will fall to minus 10 degrees and more than 20 cm of snow is predicted.The Meteorological Administration(MA) reported that cold weather and heavy snow are expected as a cold continental high pressure front will move over South Korea.
The MA expects the cold spell will loosen on the afternoon of February 5. Additionally, strong winds with speeds of 10 meter per second will bring a wind-chill temperature of minus 18 degree.
