Swift Justice for Accused Judges
The Supreme Court, on February 4, decided to quickly convene hearings on the five suspected judges implicated in the Taejon corruption scandal. The Supreme Court hopes to arrive at a decision before the Lunar New Year's holiday which begins on February 15.It will receive depositions from the five sitting judges and convene a hearing at the earliest possible date.
The Supreme Prosecutor's Office stated that the only evidence against the five judges were details provided by solocitor Lee Jong Ki's testimony, and they have not independently confirmed any wrongdoings.
