Tap Water Not Entirely Clean

Most Korean people drink 2 litres of tap water everyday.
However, the tap water here has turned out to include mutation material which can be fatal to human beings, according to the heads of the Seoul National University veterinary medicine team Dr. Lee Young Soon and Dr. Park Jae Hak in papers released February 7.
Seventy percent of this material causes cancer and may lead to handicapped children at birth.
The government however has not prepared any solution yet.
Other than the Seoul National University team, a Youngnam University environmental engineering team also found similar material in Nakdong River, which is in the southeastern part of Korea, last year.
Among the 2 litres consumed daily, 113 salmonellae germs out of 100 million were found to mutate.
A source from the Ministry of Environment asserted, 'We are now searching for the cause and effect on the virus, but we need time to examine what the actual harm will be in the future.'
