NK Proposes Agricultural Affiliation
North Korea has proposed that Kim Sun Kwon, chairman of the International Corn Foundation who is better-known as 'Dr. Corn', form an affiliation between South Korean farmers and North Korean rural villages.The Ministry of Unification (MOU) revealed on February 9 that the North requested 10,000 tons of fertilizer and 50 tons of corn seeds along with this proposal.
The North expressed its definite intention to form this 'sister affiliation' and did not request any additional conditions for participants.
However, the North neglected to mention any details on funding or how the organization would work.
