Chaebol Search Overseas for Skilled Workforce

Korean conglomerates are ardently searching for not only skilled foreigners but also overseas Koreans and students who have studied abroad.
Although large companies hesitate to employ domestic manpower, due to the economic situation, they are looking for capable people with overseas experience to boost exports and attract foreign capital to Korea.
Among chaebol groups, LG and Samsung are eager to
employ overseas manpower.
LG plans to select fifty people who possess an MBA by sending its head hunting team overseas to Chicago and San Fransisco.
Samsung have hired 1,000 employees from abroad including 100 foreigners since 1983, and it established recruiting offices in America. Recruiters scout skilled individuals from local companies and universities.
