Memorial Pagoda to Mark March 1st Movement

The government will unveil a memorial monument to mark the 80th anniversary of the March First Independence Movement of Korea.
The ceremony will take place at Jang Chung Dan Park, Seoul, where a pagoda has been constructed. Government officials and surviving 'Heroes of the Korea Independence Movement' will attend.
The government also decided to revive the spirit of the March First Independence Movement in 15 regions througout the nation. Ah Woo Nae, the main market in Chonnan City, where the movement for Korean independence had its origins, will be the site of a variety of events from March 1 to April 8 in honor of the March First Movement .
