North Korea Most Likely Candidate to Conduct Total War

John H. Tilelli, the commander of U.S armed forces in Korea, came before a congressional military committee in the United States on March 3, and stated, 'North Korea is the state that is most likely to conduct a total war against the United States in the future.'
General Tilelli stressed that when the present build up of North Korean military power, currently approaching its zenith, is finished, North Korea's military power, if left unchecked, may sweep over the Korean Peninsula.
He pointed out that if North Korea attacks the combined forces of Korea and the United States, it may not be easy to repel it, and that in the course of repulsion, a large number of human lives will be lost.
He also added, 'I expect that the Korean government's 'Sunshine Policy' towards North Korea will help to ease tension on the Korean Peninsula.'
