National Youth Voluntary Service Program Underway

The Council of Korean Middle Schools and the Council of the National Youth Voluntary Service Centers, on March 4, announced that they will launch the National Middle and High School Voluntary Service Program.
The program, which is sponsored by Prudential Insurance, will award middle and high school student throughout the nation, who contribute to the development of their own community through voluntary service activities.
Those who seek to take part in the event should send a letter of participation with the recommendation of their principal or their regional juvenile voluntary sevice center to Prudential Insurance by September 10, 1999.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will select 80 people from among the applicants and give them 500 thousand to 1 million won.
