Parties Busily Preparing for Summit Talk
The ruling National Congress for New Politics(NCNP) and the opposition Grand National Party(GNP) are preparing for the recently agreed upon summit meeting between the two party leaders, President Kim Dae Jung and Lee Hoi Chang, which is tentatively scheduled for next week. The two sides are busy picking out which issues they want included on the agenda. Even though there are no restrictions on the subject matter, discussion will be focused on economic and political normalization.
The NCNP's general secretary, Chung Kyun Hwan, said, 'There are no obstacles for the meeting since the two leaders have expressed similar points of view on current issues. All we have to do is to decide on the date.'
