Now is the Time for Buying a House

Six out of ten people feel that now is a good time to buy a house, since in their opinion the economy has made a turn for the better.
The Samsung Economic Research Institute(SERI) recently surveyed 1,000 people in order to assess consumers' attitudes for 1999, and 59.5 percent responded, 'Now is a good time for purchasing a house.'
Notably, the majority of Seoul's higher-paid salary workers over the age of 40 replied that the present time offers good prices.
A source from SERI analyzed that, 'Many people think house prices have declined to their lowest point, so they are now eager to get in at the bottom of the price cycle.'
Seventy-one percent said that their quality and standard of living had become worse than that of a year ago, but forty percent predicted it would improve within a year.
In terms of consumer prices, two-thirds of those surveyed anticipated that prices would rise considerably from this point forward.
