Korea Tobbaco and Ginseng Corporation Will Be Listed on Stock Market
The Korea Tobacco and Ginseng Corporation( KTGC), the government-owned enterprise that is slated to be placed under private management, will be listed on the Korean Stock Exchange.The government plans to list KTGC in the second half of this year. Prior to KTGC's being listed, the government will sell 25 percent of its stake by way of international bidding so as to offer equal opportunity to both domestic and overseas bidders.
A source from the Ministry of Finance and Economy stated, 'The government sell 25 percent of KTGC in the first of this year and push ahead to list it on the stock market in the second half of this year'
He said that in the course of listing it, a further 20 to 30 percent of KTGC might be publicly offered.
