Nasty Smell Forecasting System Will be Launched

A Nasty smell forecasting system will be launched in Inchon beginning in May for the first time in Korea.
Inchon city authority decided on March 24 that it will announce the forecast of nasty smell if the density of nitrogen carbon monoxide in the air is more than 50 ppm during days where the temperature exceeds 23 C with a wind speed of less than 0.9 meter per second from May to September.
The forecast will be announced by the classification of five big districts in Inchon.
The local authority will suggest that old people and children stay indoors during warning periods. To undertake this new monitoring system, the city will nominate 540 people to check the degree of nasty smell paying particular attention to 81 business sites where nasty smell is severe.
