Capital Inducement Team Heads to U.S.

A large contingent of local and regional representatives, including governors and mayors, will be heading to the United States next month to attract foreign investment.
The Foreign Investment Support Center in the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency(KOTRA) announced on March 26 that it will send the '1999 Unified Investment Inducement Delegation' to Chicago, New York and Los Angeles from April 19 to 30.
Included are Yoo Jong Kun, governor of North Cholla Province, Koh Jae Yoo, mayor of Kwangju, and 60 other officials and businessmen who will try to draw capital to regions throughout the country.
The team will outline the 5-billion-dollar 'Cheju Island Mega-Resort Development Plan' plus an additional 86 investment matters.
KOTRA will also dispatch other teams to Japan and Europe in September.
