Foreigners Find Korean Language and Traffic Signals Awkward

Although foreign visitors have a good impression of Korean kindness, they also encounter hardships on the language front and insufficient traffic signals.
The Korea Tourism Authority(KTA) surved 482 visitors at Kimpo International Airport from March 7 to 11, and today it revealed the results. According to the survey, most people were impressed with Korean hospitality(68.1 %), traditional food (53.8 %) and shopping opportunities (53 %).
Inconvenient points cited were communication difficulty (59.5 percent), lack of road signals(34.9), transportation (25.4%), aggressive sales tactics (19.3%), unsanitary restrooms(12.7%) and taxi driver's service(11.5%).
Almost half of them were first time visitors to Korea and business visitors made up the other half at 49.6 percent.
The average spending amount was 1,300 U.S. dollars per person and major items for shopping were clothes, souvenirs and kimchi.
