Youth Exposed to Too Many Adult Internet Sites

The internet has brought a cultural revolution to Korea with a dark side. Todays youth have very easy access to pornographic materials that would shame the magazine racks of the most liberal societies.
It is surveyed that adult internet sites to which the young have easy access amount to 115,423.
TECH01, a company which develops programs to impede access to obscene inter net sites, released a report on youth access to these sites on April 2.
According to the report, 37 percent of the 115,423 adult inter net sites contain pictures of intercourse and 23 percent are nude pictures and 20 percent are stealthily-taken pictures and 13 percent pictures are of nude girls under the age of 13.
It is also revealed that youth have made the most contacts to the adult sites, accessed through overseas web services, which are immune from prosecution. The prime time for youth access between 6 p.m. to 10.
The youths are active during this period as most parents are not home.
