SNU Sets Guidelines for New Student Admissions in 2000
Seoul National University(SNU) decided to enlarge the ratio of admissions based on recommendations by applicants' high-school principals from the current 11.3 percent to 14.4 percent of its total freshmen student body of 4,909 in 2000.However, SNU decided to decrease the special selection of students to 15.1 percent from 16.6 percent.
SNU definitively settled its guidelines for new student admissions in 2000 and relased it on April 9.
It will increase the number of recommended students from each high school to five students from last year's four.
Whereas, SNU will not provide for special selections, based solely on national test scores, in its humanities, social science, music, art, physical education, and faculty of education colleges.
